What Makes Babble and Bites Different?

Compassion - Zero Judgement!

Let’s face it - being a parent is hard work. Between appointments, mealtimes, and milestones, parenting can feel overwhelming, especially when your child has speech, language or feeding concerns. At Buffalo Babble and Bites, we approach every child and every family with zero judgement, celebrating the courage and strength it takes to show up every day for our kids. Our goal is to create a supportive and empowering atmosphere for families, so your child can reach their goals.

Connection - Strong Relationships

At Buffalo Babble and Bites, we believe that meaningful progress begins with strong relationships. That’s why we focus on building genuine connections between child, family, and therapist. We believe therapy works best when everyone feels seen, heard, and respected. We partner closely with parents and caregivers, turning your child’s goals into shared goals that fit naturally into everyday life. We believe every session is an opportunity to strengthen trust, which will help the children we serve to thrive both during and after the session.

Joyful Learning - Therapy Should Be Fun!

We believe that learning happens best when it’s filled with joy. Every child deserves therapy that feels engaging, playful, and full of laughter—not like another task on the to-do list. Our sessions are designed to spark curiosity and confidence, using games, food exploration, and creative activities to make progress feel fun and natural. When children enjoy what they’re doing, they’re more motivated to keep trying—and that’s where the magic happens. We celebrate every step forward, big or small, because every joyful moment is a building block toward lasting growth.

Why Private Pay?

We’ve chosen to be a private pay practice so we can focus on what truly matters—your child’s progress and your family’s experience. Insurance companies often limit how often, how long, or even what kind of therapy a child can receive. By working directly with families, we’re able to create individualized treatment plans without those restrictions.

Private pay also means simple, transparent pricing and no surprise bills or long waits for approvals. Most importantly, it allows us to spend our time where it belongs—supporting your child and empowering you.

Personalized, Flexible Care

Private pay allows us to design therapy around each child’s unique needs rather than insurance limitations. We can choose treatment frequency, duration, and techniques that best support meaningful progress without worrying about billing codes or coverage restrictions.

Transparent Pricing & Predictable Costs

Families know exactly what services cost and can plan accordingly — without surprise denials, delays, or changing copays.

Greater Access to Services

Many insurance plans require a medical diagnosis, specific documentation, or proof of delay before covering therapy. Private pay allows children to get support early, even before a formal diagnosis.

Family-Centered Experience

With private pay, we can invest time in collaboration, family coaching, and home programs—all crucial for long-term success but not always reimbursable through insurance.

Jane Feldman, MA, CCC-SLP, TSSLD

Hi, I’m Jane, the founder and lead speech-language pathologist at Buffalo Babble and Bites Speech and Feeding Therapy. As both a therapist and a parent, I understand how deeply you want to see your child thrive—and how stressful it can feel when communication or mealtimes become a struggle.

I created Buffalo Babble and Bites to be a place where families feel supported, understood, and encouraged every step of the way. My approach combines evidence-based speech and feeding therapy and enrichment with play, connection, and a whole lot of heart. Every session is designed to be fun, functional, and full of opportunities for growth—because progress should feel joyful, not overwhelming.

Whether your child needs help finding their words, improving feeding skills, or building confidence, I’m here to help you turn challenges into everyday victories that add up to big change!
